Influenced by the innovative Cremonese maker Francesco Ruggieri who was responsible for the success of the larger patterned cello.
Measurements: body length 746mm (293/8") lower bout width 448mm (175/8")
Raymond's larger cello model is not only influenced by the 1695 Ruggieri example, but also by contemporary maker and colleague Frank Ravatin.
The wider proportions of this cello body produce a large rich sound with an
even and dark projection, which one would expect in a concert hall. |
